12 wickets fall within 90 minutes for 25 runs as Lancs are bowled out for 73, and Notts knock off the 10 runs needed to win, but not before losing 4 wickets. Looks like the same problems as last season, whereby we can bowl teams out, but can’t score enough runs consistently.

The match was lost in the first innings, when they were able to get away from being 127 for 6. Had Lancs been even on first innings, Lancs might have won but they bowled much better than we did. Onions needs to improve and Clark simply isn't up to first class cricket. Their 4 strong English born pace attack all bowled well, but only Aussie Mennie and Tom Bailey bowled well for Lancs. In first class cricket Jordan Clark is not good enough to be considered a 4th seamer and on this showing Onions may now be " over the hill" - both were unproductive and expensive in such a low scoring game.

Annoyingly the Drowned Sheep from next door didn't bowl a ball and are already two points better off than us. :gun_bandana:

15 games to go and 60 days of (proper cricket) left.

Not a good start, but with the wet weather around, the scores suggest it was a damp wicket and that can always affect games.

Far too early to hit the panic button!

When I saw the title of the thread,I thought it referred to WBA's 1 nil win.
